Preparedness Week 1 MAKE SOME ROOM!!!

Let’s all get PREPARED NOT SCARED!

I think it would be a good idea for all us to have a constant reminder to get a little bit better prepared.  We all have good intentions but, sometimes we just need a little reminder.  So with this in mind, I have combined a few things that I have found from different sites on the internet.  So Let’s see if we can do at least one small thing each week.  Remember "By small and simple things great things are brought to pass..."

Make some room!!

Take a walk around your house and look for places to store your food storage and emergency preparedness items.  If space is an issue... think outside of the box!  Under the bed, in a closet, in a drawer, behing the couch, under the stairs, etc... I think I am going to have to start off by remembering where I have all of my storage now and making a list of what I already have and the dates that It was canned.
Get a notebook to help keep track of everything.  You don't want to forget where you store those dried onions. Keep up with the date on your food storage.  We want to keep food storage to be prepared but, we need to rotate our food storage so that it does not go bad.   Make a note and put it on your refridgerator or mirror to remind yourself to do your weekly preparedness assignment.
Some of these ideas were taken from a cool blog that I found on the internt called bepreparednotscared.blogspot.com  Thanks to Trish at the Farmington Ward and Farmington Stake.

  1. Monica,
This is one of my favorite sites also! The point being we as sisters need to use the plethora of available resources out there!

BTW don't forget this months order choices from EE, the diced sweet potatoes ($12) or free-dried chopped spinach (9$) We need a MINIMUM of 12 on each to have it sent at that price, and shippin free. I will collect money after delivery. This ends @ 2/21/12
